They offer a variety of panini and healthy salads, and the service is excellent and informative.

Chow Mein
3750 St-Laurent corner Roy
Positives: Two dollar chow mein (very inexpensive for Saint -Laurent street). I went for the two dollar Hunan beignet’s (like Wonton with peanut sauce instead of soup). Food is prepared in front of you. It is Edible.
Negatives: They played Brittney Spears, had Pucca decorations, seating for sixteen. They had no menus, no napkins and no business cards. (never mind the washroom). They didn’t have any French speaking personnel onsite.
When I arrived at my brother’s, he informed me that this restaurant has it own Facebook appreciation site. I’ll join for fun.
Right around here we start hearing the sound of drums and a didgeridoo. The sound follows us for several blocks).

On St-Laurent street. A complementary snack on the edge of an excellent restaurant. (Somehow I accomplished this.)

I recommend this restaurant. Absolutely scrumptious.
Schwartz Charcuterie Hebraique
A line up of about 50 people out front. 3900 St-Laurent.
Oh and two Télétoon trucks parked out front.
Ouzeri
The coolest corner. Interesting angle, I always wanted to pop in to that triangular building.
Corner St-Denis and Gilford.
Le Barbare
Restaurant on St-Denis, they have a fantastic gallery presentation currently, an art deco style.
Fruiterie Muscat and Rachelle Béry épicierie santé
A really classy fruit and herb store on St. Denis. (both).The art of the perfect fruit. My hubby has promised to return with me.
The Marché Maisonneuve may be a better choice for us as we live so far est.
YOY Sushi bar

This place used to be called Merveilles du Vietnam and was on of the best in Montreal, it had been awarded several prestigious customer awards. After a change in administration the restaurant moved away from a family sit in, to a counter concept. Re-warmed food in an open counter. The staff don’t speak French or English, so point or look at the menu. Their bean drink is in my mind the only reason to keep going there.
