The job hunter or seeker looks for job vacancies or employment opportunities.

However secretly desires a passionate career. I am looking for the pearl among the oysters. But it certainly helps when the recruiter knows what a pearl looks like.  I explain to those recruiters that I meet: that a pearl can look different to each person and that they come in different sizes, colours, shapes, & luster. But some recruiters only have cheap plastic beads, so they wrap it up and say it's a pearl, but they don't want you to unwrap it till you have signed their contract. Some recruiters don't even provide a job description, job title or even which department. 0_o That's like receiving a handful of sand and being told to make your own pearl. 

Some jobs are indeed freshwater lopsided pearls but nonetheless offer great potential and beauty. The same can be said for talent/job seekers another view could be the job seeker as the pearl. 

I agree that recruiters are working in fairly difficult times. Most corporations and especially government agencies are searching for workers with certificates, degrees and specialized education. However the majority of talent is housed in experienced professionals with years of real world knowledge. Those that recruit, write job descriptions succinctly, sometimes without much thought, or with very little knowledge about the position, or even using the excuss "it's the way it has always been done." It leaves one to wonder; where has "equivalent experience” disappeared to.

But the issue I have recently encountered was being told that the job would be perfect for me, yet nothing else, not why I would be qualified, merely that the company was in a hurry to hire. Come in, be hired, work tomorrow, but the long term question is apart from a pay check, is there anything that can be considered a pearl in the job or is it just a handful of sand that will slip though my fingers as time in an hourglass.
